Where is your program located?

Twelve Oaks drug rehabilitation center is a private, free-standing, 102-bed, alcohol/drug recovery center located in the Florida Panhandle (on the inter-coastal waterway in Navarre, Florida). Our five-acre campus borders a sandy beach and provides a serene setting for its distinctive treatment programs.

What types of problems/disorders do you treat?

We provide alcohol and drug treatment services for adults and adolescents.

How much will treatment cost?

Treatment at Twelve Oaks is a highly personal experience, and the associated costs depend upon a number of issues, including (but not necessarily limited to) the specific nature of the problem(s) being treated, the amount of time you will need to remain in treatment, and the presence of any co-occurring disorders.

Our intake advisors will be happy to work with you to develop an accurate picture of what your treatment will cost.

Does your program accept insurance or provide financing options?

Yes. We accept most major insurances and work closely with residents, families, partners and insurance companies in formulating a feasible treatment plan.

Are your staff members licensed?

In addition to being are highly qualified professionals who are skilled and experienced in a variety of treatment modalities, our staff members also possess a wide range of degrees and licenses. Is your program accredited?

Yes. Twelve Oaks is licensed by the Florida Department of Children and Families and is fully accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).

Do you provide detox services?

Yes. We are qualified, experienced and prepared to provide safe detox services to clients who need this type of medically assisted intervention. We provide close medical monitoring of methamphetamine detoxification to treat toxic symptoms and treat withdrawal. Registered nurses observe the patient around the clock with the patient is detoxifying. Doctors are available 24 hours a day.

Does Twelve Oaks support AA/NA and similar 12-Step programs?

Yes. 12-Step principles and 12-Step meetings are integral components of our comprehensive drug and alcohol treatment programs.

How long will I need to be in treatment?

Determining the ideal length of stay involves an analysis of a number of personal factors, including (but not limited to) the nature and severity of the issues you are struggling with and the presence of any co-occurring disorders.

Our professionals will take all of these issues into consideration as we work with you to create the personalized program that will put you in the best position to pursue long-term recovery.

Will I be required (or permitted) to take medication during treatment?

Detox medication will be prescribed and monitored by our attending ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) certified physician. Patients can be maintained on medications as prescribed by their own personal physician(s).

What types of therapies and programs does Twelve Oaks use?

Cognitive therapy is used during the course of treatment. Impulse control exercises are used to help patients deal with cravings, anxiety, and agitation. Patients are involved in 12 step support groups with strong spiritual emphasis.

Family involvement during treatment is strongly encouraged as well as aftercare attendance after the initial treatment program is completed. Attention is also given to nutritional or other physical problems that may have developed.

Exercise helps heal damaged brain chemistry by stimulating endorphin production, so an exercise regimen is also encouraged.

Will I be allowed to smoke cigarettes during treatment?

Adults are permitted to bring (and smoke) cigarettes while in treatment at Twelve Oaks. Adolescent clients are prohibited from smoking.

Will my family be involved in my treatment?

Yes. We offer an intensive treatment program for family members of patients. The family program is designed to help all family members learn about chemical dependency and co-dependency.

Do you offer an aftercare program?

Our discharge planning process is designed to prepare our clients for their re-entry as newly sober people. During this planning, we address questions and concerns regarding what will happen when you return home.

Also, our Continuing Care program provides an opportunity to continue to practice the tools taught in treatment, as well as a chance to build a supportive network with others who are also in recovery.
