Mark Stavros , MD
Dr. Stavros is board certified in both Emergency Medicine and Addiction Medicine. He was awarded the Air Force Health Professions Scholarship and received his Medical Degree at Creighton University. He completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at St. Vincent’s Emergency Medicine Residency Program in Ohio. Following clinical training, Dr. Stavros was stationed at Eglin Air Force Base where he practiced as an emergency physician and served as EMS director and medical director. After his honorable discharge, he continued to work as an emergency physician in the panhandle of Florida. He worked at West Florida Hospital in Pensacola for 14 years and served as assistant medical director. He is the current Emergency Department medical director for West Florida Hospital and Perdido Bay ER and serves as their Stroke Director as well. Dr. Stavros is an associate clinical professor at Florida State University College of Medicine. Furthermore, he serves as faculty for FSUCares, a mission-oriented organization which annually takes medical students to underserved populations to provide medical care.
