On February 22, 2014, Twelve Oaks Recovery Center participated in the 28th Annual Navarre Beach Mardi Gras parade. There were more than 50 entries that rolled in the parade that Saturday. Twelve Oaks had an incredible time building the float that you see in the pictures. Human Resources Coordinator, Jessica Parrott said “This was an awesome team building activity for all of the departments at Twelve Oaks.” Our theme was “Rockin to Recovery.”
As you can see, some staff took this very seriously. That is our very own Mark Sawyer, Interim Executive Director and Dr. Timothy Gooden, Medical Director in the blue tuxes. Obviously, these guys were all in. Twelve Oaks Recovery Center enjoyed being able to support the community that we are a part of in this way. We threw beads, handed out bags, information, treats and even business cards along the parade route. We certainly showed our team spirit in supporting our community as well as the recovery community showing that sober can be fun, too.
