For the last 30 years, Twelve Oaks Recovery Center has been a leading provider of substance abuse treatment for people aged 18 and older with primary substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health diagnoses. Our expert, compassionate staff is dedicated to our mission of providing quality substance abuse treatment to our patients in an atmosphere of trust, honesty, and responsibility. CARF-accredited and associated with the American Society of Addiction Medicine, we provide comprehensive treatment that includes evidence-based interventions and 12-step groups. Our commitment to healing and recovery is evident across all levels of treatment, of which include:
Inpatient Residential Treatment: Our 30-day inpatient residential treatment program is designed to be a safe place for our patients to take their first steps towards recovery. Inpatient residential treatment at Twelve Oaks includes medically-monitored detoxification, individual and family therapy, groups, and experiential therapies. Patients in this program also have access to 12-step groups held by alumni and members of community 12-step groups. Thanks to our location on Florida’s Emerald Coast, we also provide beach activities like volleyball, bonfires, kayaking, fishing, swimming, yoga, and a low ropes course.
Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP): Our PHP is an excellent treatment option for those who have completed residential care or for those who do not require more intensive treatment. Our PHP patients live at the same center as our residential patients, and treatment includes many of the same interventions, such as individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, and experiential therapies. Our PHP program typically lasts 30 days and includes programming every day, Monday through Friday, for six hours per day. Treatment also includes lectures by alumni.
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP): The IOP program is designed for patients who need a lower level of care or who are nearly ready to live independently in their respective communities. Our IOP consists of many of the same interventions as our PHP program, including individual therapy, groups, family therapy, and experiential therapies. IOP patients receive services three days per week for three hours per day.
Specialized Tracks: For those who require specialized care, we also provide three tracks which are available within our inpatient residential program. Participation in these tracks depends on the needs each patient and include the following:
- PROCLAIM: Proclaim is a Christian-based treatment track that integrates biblically- and psychologically-based counseling grounded in Christian values. The Proclaim track provides opportunities to integrate Christian spirituality with substance abuse treatment, including Bible study groups, Christ-centered therapy groups, and prayer.
- ASPIRE: The Aspire program is designed for those who are battling substance abuse and co-occurring posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Based on guidelines from the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies (ISTSS), the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation (ISSTD), and the Veterans’ Administration (VA), the Aspire program uses specialized groups and interventions, such as psychodynamic therapy, psychodrama, prolonged exposure therapy, and cognitive processing therapy.
- RESILIENCE: The Resilience program is designed for those who are struggling with addiction and are learning to live with chronic pain. Interventions can include Tai Chi, massage therapy, acupuncture, and specialized groups and therapies designed for chronic pain management. Cognitive-behavioral therapy, cognitive restructuring, relaxation training, and other techniques in accordance with Grinstead’s Addiction-Free Pain Management practices are utilized within this beneficial track.
